The Making Room Membership Terms
Last Updated: September 13, 2026
These Membership Terms apply to participation in The Making Room, the private membership offered by Hers in the Making.
By enrolling, you agree to these Membership Terms together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and applicable enrollment terms.
1. The Making Room
The Making Room is a private membership designed to provide conversations, educational resources, reflection, strategic support, community, and other experiences relating to identity, work, business, money, power, and life.
The Making Room is not therapy, a clinical service, individualized financial advice, or a guarantee of personal or business results.
2. Membership Billing
The Making Room is offered as a recurring subscription unless another billing structure is clearly stated at enrollment.
Your payment method will be charged at the interval and amount disclosed at checkout until you cancel.
Current pricing, including any monthly or annual option, will be displayed before enrollment.
3. Price Changes
Membership pricing may change prospectively.
If a price change affects an existing recurring membership, we will provide notice as required by applicable law before the new price becomes effective.
Any founding-member or price-protection benefit will be governed by the terms specifically provided when that member enrolls.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your recurring membership to prevent future renewals.
Cancellation becomes effective according to the billing terms disclosed through the membership account or cancellation process.
Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise, canceling does not result in a refund of amounts already paid.
Access generally continues through the end of the paid billing period.
There is no requirement to remain a member indefinitely.
5. Membership Access
Membership benefits may include, depending on the current membership structure:
- Make It Hers foundational resources;
- The Room conversations;
- Make It Hers: Business sessions;
- Things We Don't Say Out Loud community spaces;
- Still Hers? quarterly recalibrations;
- The Return annual experience;
- educational resources;
- member discussions;
- live or recorded sessions; and
- other benefits described on the current membership page.
Specific features, schedules, hosts, formats, resources, and benefits may evolve over time.
We may reasonably modify the membership experience while preserving its overall purpose and value.
6. Live Sessions
Live sessions may be scheduled periodically.
We do not guarantee that every member can attend every live session.
Where recordings are offered, availability and retention periods may vary.
Not every private conversation, event, breakout session, or member interaction will necessarily be recorded.
7. Community Culture
The quality of The Making Room depends substantially on how members treat one another.
Members agree to the following principles:
- Listen before fixing.
- Ask before advising.
- Private means private.
- No unsolicited pitching.
- Different answers are allowed.
- Ambition is not a competition.
- Vulnerability is optional.
- Own your decisions.
- Revenue does not make someone the authority on another woman's life.
- Do not shrink another woman's want.
Above all:
Respect another woman's right to determine what "hers" looks like.
8. Confidentiality Between Members
Members may discuss personal, professional, financial, family, business, relationship, or other sensitive experiences.
You agree not to intentionally disclose another member's personally identifiable private story, information, screenshots, recordings, posts, or conversations outside The Making Room without that person's permission.
You may discuss your own learning and experience, but do not tell another member's story for her.
Do not screenshot or redistribute private community conversations without permission.
9. Limits of Confidentiality
Although confidentiality is a community requirement, Hers in the Making cannot guarantee that every participant will honor it.
The Making Room is not legally privileged communication like certain attorney-client or therapist-client relationships.
Use your own judgment about what you share.
10. No Recording
Members may not independently record, photograph, screen-record, transcribe, reproduce, or distribute private member sessions or conversations without express authorization.
Official recordings created by Hers in the Making remain subject to applicable privacy practices and membership access rules.
11. No Solicitation
The Making Room is not a prospecting database.
Members may not use membership access primarily to:
- send unsolicited sales messages;
- mass-contact other members;
- scrape contact information;
- recruit without permission;
- repeatedly promote services;
- pressure members into purchases; or
- exploit private disclosures for commercial purposes.
Natural relationships and consensual collaboration are welcome. Unsolicited pitching is not.
12. Respectful Participation
Disagreement is permitted.
Different definitions of success, ambition, family, business, wealth, spirituality, work, relationships, and life are expected.
Personal attacks, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, threats, deliberate humiliation, or repeated disregard for another member's boundaries are not permitted.
13. Support Modes
Where available, members may indicate the kind of support they want:
- Listen: I want to be heard.
- Perspective: I am open to questions and different ways of seeing this.
- Strategy: I want practical ideas, options, and problem-solving.
Members are expected to respect the support requested rather than assuming every disclosure requires advice.
14. Not Therapy or Crisis Support
The Making Room is not therapy, mental health treatment, medical care, or crisis intervention.
The community is not designed to manage emergencies or provide clinical support.
Members experiencing a medical or mental health emergency should seek appropriate professional or emergency support.
15. Member Responsibility
Hers in the Making does not make decisions for members.
You remain responsible for your decisions regarding business, career, money, family, relationships, health, lifestyle, or other matters.
Advice or perspectives offered by members, guests, facilitators, or Hers in the Making are not guarantees and should be evaluated independently.
16. Intellectual Property
Membership materials created by Hers in the Making are for the member's personal use unless otherwise stated.
Members may not reproduce, sell, distribute, teach, sublicense, publish, or commercially exploit proprietary membership materials without written permission.
Members retain ownership of their own original ideas and materials shared in the community.
17. Member Content
You retain ownership of original content you submit.
By posting within the membership platform, you grant us the limited permission necessary to host and display that content within the membership experience.
Private member content will not intentionally be converted into public marketing content identifying you without appropriate permission.
18. Removal from the Community
We may suspend or terminate membership for serious or repeated violations involving:
- harassment;
- threats;
- confidentiality violations;
- unauthorized recording;
- solicitation;
- unlawful behavior;
- fraudulent activity;
- misuse of intellectual property;
- nonpayment; or
- conduct that materially compromises the safety or integrity of the community.
Where reasonable, we may first address less serious issues with the member before termination.
Refund eligibility following termination is governed by the Refund Policy and applicable law.
19. Payment Failure
If a recurring payment fails, we may attempt to process the payment again and may notify you to update your billing information.
Membership access may be suspended if payment remains outstanding.
20. Leaving The Making Room
The purpose of The Making Room is not to create dependency.
You may decide that the membership no longer belongs in your life, and you are free to cancel according to the cancellation process.
Leaving does not mean the work failed.
You are welcome to return in the future subject to current availability, application requirements, pricing, and membership terms.
21. Changes to Membership Terms
We may update these Membership Terms from time to time.
Material changes affecting existing members will be communicated through reasonable means when required.
22. Contact
Questions about membership, billing, access, or these Terms may be submitted through our Contact page or by email at support@hersinthemaking.com.
